I am officially dead in my old self and reborn in Christ!
I have to say, encounter weekend was the best decision I have made for the past 16 plus years in my life.
And of course, the best thing that ever happened to me was knowing the love of our heavenly Father.
I felt so close to Him during the EW, and something happened that changed me on the inside.
It still gets to me now, just thinking about it.
Anyway! We saw The Crossing video, on the first night, which is Friday night.
And what really struck me the most, was the part where the lead actor, was sent to some dessert, and there, in front of him was a huge cross.
There were many people dressed in olden days clothes, yelling at the top of their voices, "Crucify him!".
He looked around and saw that they were referring to him, and started to wonder.
Then there came a man, wounded from top to toe, filled with blood, in the hands of two roman soldiers.
He hit him by accident and instead of the lead actor being crucified, that man got nailed to the cross.
This signifies the divine exchange.
As the roman soldiers were nailing the wounded man on the cross, the lead actor stood behind watching and screaming for them to stop, but just as one of the roman soldiers turned his head around, he realised that
it was actually himself.
This part hit me the most because it made me realise that it was our sins that nailed Jesus to the cross.
We were the culprits who had nailed Him there.
And another part of the show that touched me was, when the lead actor and his friend were walking in the dessert, they came to a point where they were almost at the edge. Now look at these pictures:
Imagine you were the one standing at the edge of these high mountains, and you have to cross over.
But crossing over means death.
And suddenly, you see a biggggg cross in front of you, that connects to the other mountain you were supposed to go to.
And you believe you would make it through.
We were all at the point of death, but Jesus came and saved our lives, and died for us. All it takes is a little faith, believe in Him and nothing is impossible.
Going to the encounter has allowed me to make so many new friends.
And of course that includes the crazy Phyllis! Haha, you're a treasure, darling.
So now, here are some pictures we took during the weekend!
Haha, unglam I know. Taken by Phyllis during one of the sessions!
